During your free discovery call, we discuss your athletic background, training history, current limitations, and performance goals. Whether you’re recovering from a sports injury, dealing with persistent pain, or looking to improve performance, this conversation helps determine if our physical therapy philosophy is the right fit and allows us to create a personalized plan based on your specific needs and training demands.
Your first session is a comprehensive, one-on-one evaluation designed to uncover the root cause of your pain, movement limitations, or performance barriers. We assess your movement patterns, joint mobility, strength, stability, and sport-specific demands. From there, we will map out a clear, personalized treatment and training plan designed to bridge the gap between injury rehab and peak performance.
We operate as an out-of-network provider with all insurance companies. This out-of-network, cash-based model allows us to provide dedicated, 1-on-1 care without the restrictions or limitations typically imposed by corporate insurance metrics.
Following each session, if requested, we are able to provide detailed superbills that include all necessary provider information and timed CPT codes. You can submit these directly to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement, depending on your specific plan. We also happily accept HSA (Health Savings Account) and FSA (Flexible Spending Account) cards for all services.
Every athlete and injury is unique, so the number of sessions needed will depend on your goals, sport, training volume, and injury history. Because our approach is highly individualized and completely one-on-one, many clients notice improvements in pain, mobility, strength, and performance early in the process. We closely track your progress to optimize your plan, often shifting from intensive symptom management to performance-focused physical therapy that closely mirrors the physical demands of your sport or activity.
No, you do not need a referral to get started. Under Illinois Direct Access laws, you can be evaluated and treated directly by a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy. This allows us to begin treatment immediately, helping you address pain, movement limitations, and performance concerns without unnecessary delays in your training.
We work with athletes and active adults throughout Naperville and the surrounding communities. Our clients range from endurance athletes such as runners and golfers, to strength and fitness athletes including Olympic weightlifters, powerlifters, recreational lifters, CrossFit athletes, and HYROX competitors. We also work with combat sports athletes, including boxers, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, kickboxers, and wrestlers, as well as athletes competing in traditional team sports such as football, baseball, basketball, and soccer.
We also help active adults who want to move better, recover from injury, prevent future setbacks, and continue performing at a high level. Whether you're training for competition, returning to sport, or simply looking to stay active without pain, every treatment plan is tailored to your goals and the demands of your lifestyle.
Absolutely. A significant portion of our practice is dedicated to performance optimization, recovery, and injury mitigation. We look at biomechanical inefficiencies and movement deficits before they turn into chronic pain, helping you build a resilient foundation so you can train harder, heavier, and longer.
Performance physical therapy focuses on helping active individuals and athletes recover from injuries, improve movement, reduce pain, and optimize performance. Unlike traditional physical therapy, performance physical therapy often incorporates sport-specific exercises, strength training, mobility work, and return-to-sport programming to help athletes perform at their best.
We treat sports injuries, muscle strains, tendon injuries, mobility limitations, post-surgical recovery, overuse injuries, and performance-related movement issues.
